Help
How can we help?
Most answers are below. If you're mid-trip and something isn't working, start with the connection checks.
Not connecting?

Buying a plan
How do I buy a plan?
Choose your destination and plan on this website and review it with the full price. Today the purchase itself is completed in the Roamy app for iPhone, at the same price. Online checkout on this website is on its way.
How can I pay?
Apple Pay, Google Pay or card, processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars. If you have a Roamy balance, you can use it when it covers the full price of the plan.
My payment failed. Was I charged?
If the app says your payment didn’t go through, nothing was charged. Try again, or use another card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. If you see a charge without an eSIM in your trips, contact us with the date and amount.
Installing and activating
What’s the difference between installing and activating?
Installing adds the eSIM to your phone. Do it at home on Wi‑Fi before you travel; it takes about a minute.
Activating happens on arrival: the validity period starts when the eSIM connects to a supported network. Each plan shows how long you have to activate it after you buy it.
How do I install on iPhone?
In the app, open your trip and tap Install eSIM. On iOS 17.4 or later the eSIM installs in one tap. Otherwise scan the QR code from another screen, or choose Need help? › Enter it manually and copy the codes from the app. If Settings asks for a confirmation code, leave it empty.
How do I install on Android?
Open Settings › Network & internet › SIMs › Add eSIM, then scan the QR code shown in the app. If you enter the code by hand, Android takes the whole code, starting with LPA:1$. Menu names vary a little between manufacturers.
What should I switch on when I land?
Turn on the Roamy line, set it as the line for mobile data, and turn on data roaming for the Roamy line. Keep data roaming off on your home line so your usual carrier can’t charge you abroad. Your usual number keeps working for calls and texts.
Can I reinstall my eSIM or move it to another phone?
An eSIM can be added to one phone. If you delete it, or Settings says “This code is no longer valid”, contact us before buying a new plan. Reinstalling isn’t available in the app yet.
Phones and coverage
Will Roamy work on my phone?
Roamy works on unlocked phones that support eSIM. Most recent iPhones, Google Pixels and Samsung Galaxy phones do. Phones bought on a contract can be locked to that carrier, so check with them if you’re not sure.
Which networks will I use?
Each destination page lists the networks its plans use and the fastest network type available, for example 4G or 5G. Speeds depend on local coverage, and your phone picks the strongest network it can.
Do plans include calls or texts?
No. Roamy plans are mobile data only. Your usual SIM keeps your number for calls and texts.
Does a regional plan cover every country in the region?
Not always. Each regional and global plan covers its own list of countries, and the app shows that list before you pay. Check that every country on your route is included.
Data, top-ups and unlimited plans
What if I run out of data?
Add data in the app. It goes onto the eSIM you already have, so there’s nothing new to install. Most fixed-data plans can be topped up; the app tells you if a plan can’t.
How do unlimited plans work?
You choose how many days you need, from 1 to 90. Each day includes a set amount of full-speed data; after that the speed is reduced until the next day. Unlimited plans can’t be topped up.
How do I see how much data I have left?
Open your trip in the app. It shows the data left and the days to go. Usage can take a little while to update.
Refunds and problems
What happens if my eSIM can’t be issued?
If the eSIM provider rejects your order after you’ve paid, the payment is refunded to your card automatically. If a payment didn’t lead to an order, it’s refunded automatically too. Orders paid from your Roamy balance go back to your balance.
Occasionally the provider doesn’t respond in time. Those orders are checked by our support team, who will sort out your eSIM or your refund.
Can I get a refund for a plan I no longer need?
Refunds for purchased plans follow our refund policy. In short, a plan that hasn’t been installed or used may be eligible; contact us within 7 days of purchase with your order number.
My eSIM isn’t connecting. What should I try?
Check that the Roamy line is turned on, that data roaming is on for the Roamy line, and that the Roamy line is selected for mobile data. Give it 30 minutes after installing. Still not working? Use Help in the app to send us a report; it includes your order details.
